History
Over 50 Years of Knowledge and Experience
Born on a farm in post-war Austria, Mike Wiegele left for Canada in 1959 in search of freedom and the world's best powder. On a quest that led him across North America, Mike began his heli-skiing dream in the heart of the Cariboo and Monashee Mountains in 1970. The Blue River landscape set the scene where Mike's heli-ski dream would flourish, and where more memories and legendary moments in ski history were made.
